Alexander the great was declared as the King of Egypt in the temple of the Oracle in Siwa. Yet, Siwa is known for its Oasis and its mystical and medicinal healings than the anointment of Alexander the Great or the temple of Oracle. The obscurity of Siwa is further exacerbated by the lack of an International airport, making it harder for most tourists to take their eyes off the Great Pyramids (as if that was the only attraction in all of Egypt). Cairo’s drive time to Siwa is about 8 hours long, and it is a tiring journey. The other alternative is to take the seasonal flight from Cairo to Marsa Matruh and then drive to Siwa. None of these options are reasonable unless you just wanted to visit Siwa and nothing else. Icarus Jet charter offers flights to Siwa airport from Cairo International airport and Luxor, Aswan, Hurghada, and El Gouna. The flight time between Cairo and Siwa is about 45 minutes in a private jet; it is Cairo’s most frequented private jet charters. There are plenty of options offered by Icarus Jet for business aviation flights from Cairo to Siwa. The major drawback is the time it takes to acquire the landing right in Siwa Airport. Sometimes, it is even harder to secure overnight parking at Siwa airport because it is a military airport. In case we are unable to secure overnight parking for a round trip to and from Siwa, we would have to reposition the airplane back to Cairo, and that will Increase the jet charter rate considerably. We recommend at least two weeks notice for any Jet Charter flights into Siwa.
