Luton Airport was opened in 1938 and used as an RAF base during the Second World War. Located in Bedfordshire, Luton, the airport is a significant hub for Private Jets and Airlines. Possibly the closest airport to London downtown with 24/7 services without any restrictions but SLOTS. During the summertime, London Luton Airport restricts Private aircraft traffic past 10 PM till 6 AM to ten takeoffs and landings. As easy as the Luton airport is for the private jets, it could be very restrictive for long term parking and arrival and departure SLOTS. Icarus Jet charter analysts recommend applying for the SLOTS and parking as in advance as possible. London Luton Airport has a single runway that has a VOR approach and an ILS CAT III approach. The runway is 7000 Feet long.
